On Wednesday morning, Wilmer-Hutchins coach Elzie Barnett claimed confusion on his vote during the initial hearing, saying that he believed he was voting for a different PAPF.
Barnett is not the only DEC member to make a voting error during the hurried process, where – on short notice – the five-member panel reviewed 14 basketball players transferring to the new charter school. Roosevelt campus coordinator John Simon told the state executive committee last week that he mistakenly voted yes on a PAPF vote for Mudiay.
This sounds pretty fishy to me.

The thing I don't understand is why don't these big time bball recruits play at a public school where they are going to face legit competition? It seems every high profile player in the DFW area is going to some chop shop private school that has only been open for a few years. Hell, I'm from the area and never heard of a number of these programs.
It's not just the DFW area. Martin goes to Madison Prep in Baton Rouge.

How does that impact his college eligibility, if at all?

Madison Prep is an LHSAA member charter school. Quite a bit different than Deion's pet project.

It won't, provided that his HS is accredited, which has never been talked about, so I doubt is an issue.

yea his school is (somehow) TEA approved so unless some other unforeseen issue arises he should be good to go.

Sorry Deon, but only Catholics/Jesuit/Baptist/Episcopoal private schools and West Monroe/Neville can get away with recruiting.
There...fixed it for you!
