Don't see what he brings to the table that's different than what we currently have but it can't hurt to have another body at the position.

He's a strong run blocking TE…. a position, that in a year or two, we will be thin at… Clement and Edwards are Sr's, leaving only Jacobs, Dickson, and Gordon, before this year's class, for next season… if you haven't noticed, we have a penchant for running 2 TE sets, thus we need a couple of guys at that position….

TE's next year:
N. Jacobs- Jr.
T. Dickson- Jr.
D. Gordon- So.
D. Smith-Fr.
L. Stokes- Jr.

the tards would have hated watts with the texans. he was a t.e. then went to wisconsin as a d.e., now he is an all pro.

If any person is going to let what message board people say have ANY IMPACT on his school choice, then I don't think that kid had the mental toughness that I want at my school

What is mental toughness? Is that like not having enough chest?

I've never really understood why recruits get their feelings hurt by message boards (not saying Stokes did).

Admittedly, it's a fine line. It's stupid to watch 30 seconds of highlights and outright dismiss someone as a no-talent hack.

It's also a bit homerific to just assume every recruit we get will be awesome and not honestly discuss their strengths and weaknesses.

The problem is, and really this is more of an "all things to be debated" issue, is that most people can't do it in an even-handed way.

Where did you read stokes is going to be replaced outside of TD. Hes being brought in as a blocker.

he didn't…. he's not being replaced… most people sorta view him as a small fish, and there's much bigger fish out there, and since we are tight with schollies as of now, he'd be the most expendable, if we were to go that route….

this is correct…. what caught the eye of he coaches is his blocking ability though…. he's a very strong run blocker at TE… that's great since we use the scheme we do….
