The World is a Ball can be added. Not great, but good enough.

Also, Rafa's new book is good for anyone interested.

They werent awful... werent great but there arent many football movies out there

They were beyond awful. Another cliched sports movie being spoon-fed to middle America.

One of my favorites.

Soccer In Sun and Shadow is also pretty cool.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to other movies, documentaries or books that I should pick up?

Any book about Leeds United written by Phil Rostron. He is generally considered to be one of the better sports writers in the UK. I also enjoyed Among the Thugs even though it was about the Scum firm. For a more graphic depiction of hooliganism you can read any books by Cass Pennant or John King.

About Brian Clough's 44 day tenure as Leeds manager in the mid 70's. I enjoyed it a lot.

Every Derby County fan including me has seen it. Clough had his happiest times at DCFC, although he is most famous for his tenure at Notts Forest, and then the epic failure at dirty Leeds.

He's still revered by both Derby and Forest fans, and the A52 which runs between Derby and Nottingham is named for him. His son Nigel Clough is the current manager at Derby County.
