quote:

For me, the issue of player health and safety is personal. For the league and the Commissioner, it's about perception and liability. The Commissioner says he is disappointed in me. The truth is, I'm disappointed in him. His positions on player health and safety since a 2009 congressional hearing on concussions have been inconsistent at best.

quote:

"For him to come out and say he was disappointed in me for not standing up to my coach," Fujita said after practice Wednesday, "I haven't had someone tell me they were disappointed in me since I was 12 years old, and that was my father."

Goodell is such a dick

I've always loved Fujita and he is 100% spot on

Goodell needs to change that cut block rule. I can't believe that block on Cushing is still a legal play.

Heard a statement today on Dan Patrick that players would much rather be hit in the head and take a concussion than get what Cushing got. In other words, some people feel like Goodell is just bending to the congressional hearing bs.

At this point, I tend to agree. If I was in the NFL, if I get hit in the head and concussed -- I can maybe come back next week. I will be back no matter what in 2-3 weeks (unless you are justin morneau). An ACL tear is a season. You can't get that entire year back. Yeah... there are health effects down the road. They know that. They play anyway.

Yep. Players now realize what people playing 30 years ago didn't. If you saw that Chiefs lineman going off on their fans for cheering when Cassell went down, he mentioned that he knows he's killing himself but accepts it now.

I think that was Florio who said that. It was conjecture on his part.
