Why does baseball still have umpires in the traditional sense?

There isn't one solid argument to let them still call balls and strikes.

Yes the call from the IF fly rule bullshite got me thinking on this, but far too many umpires have an ego the size of fricking Texas and make the game about them.

We have technology and replays to determine balls and strikes.

Also, why is it when an umpire knows he fricked up and is wrong, they never change their call. That ump knew he fricked up.

I'm trying to figure out what the purpose of postseason outfield umpires are if some shithead like that is going to call that an infield fly.

At least in football the refs can discuss and determine they're wrong and waive off the flag.

I don't think I've ever seen an ump own up to a wrong call unless video evidence on a foul or HR forced him to.

right there with you...but I'm sure plenty of baseball "purists" will tell you how you don't get the game
