Surely someone has taken a break from busting caps and pulling strings to take advantage of the low, green river? This little bit of cool weather and the river stages are giving me the fever, just wondering if Isaac messed anything up. Used to catch a mixed bag right in the river when conditions were like this.

hat, I'm more talking specs, reds, hybrids, bass, etc. I've pretty much given up taking my 20' boat tuna fishing. Not that I've wised up, more just gotten too old for the beating.

Trout are still surprisingly somewhat slow, however they can be found they just aren't everywhere. Redfish are everywhere. Also catching a ton of flounder in the spillways, which of course it's that time of year for them.

I haven't talked to my buddy that guides down there, but his FB pics have had a lot more reds than trout. He was punishing the flatties this summer, he thinks the shrimpers being shutdown by BP is the cause.

Hybrids and reds stacked up in the river right now, also big jacks. Trout will stat to show up real heavy in november when the temp starts to fall and river gets cold, i also catch alot of 10-15 pound stripers once its cold
