Couldn't find the thread I started on replacing my stolen items, but someone referred this light to me and damn it that thing is BRIGHT. Shot it across about a 200 yard distance last night and could nearly count the needles in the pine trees. Whoever linked that thing to me, thanks! I'm about to order a couple more to keep in the truck and what not.

Saw one today on a "1 sale/day" site for $2.99. Lemme see if I can find it again.

Edit: Searched for it and it must have sold out. Can't find it anymore.

Costco had a pack of 3 cree "tactical" light a couple of months ago for $20. I bought 3 packs of them and have been extremely impressed.

I'm ordering when I get home.

Could I attach it to a Judge or would that be to badass.

Momma didn't raise no liar.

I really like the multi function feature as far as switching from standard to LED, but I can' really think of a use for the strobe function. However, I cut it on in my house with the lights off, and now I'm thinking about hosting a rave. All obers are invited. shite's gonna get weird.

Could do it w/ the proper combination of hot glue and duck tape, but would probably only get a few shots out of it. :-) OTOH, when using the Judge, who needs more than a few shots?!

Someone tell me more about these lights.. Exactly how good are they, and what letter/number combination is the one to buy? k8, Q9, etc.

The K8 500 LM is the one I got. It comes with two rechargeable lithium ion batteries and adapter. It's a $20 investment that you will not regret. I can't speak for its durability yet because I haven't taken it to the field yet, but it seems really well built. Just buy one. It's not like you're emptying your savings account to get it. You won't be disappointed.

I have both the zoomable 1000 lm and the 1600 lm. You can't go wrong with them. Only problem I've had was dropping one and the reflector popping loose, just unscrew lens and push it back in place. I've used it all year hunting and trapping and its held up great. Bright enough to spotlight a skunk at 100 yards at 5am.
