College bands don't steal songs... They all play the same things. They just put their own little twist on it to make it their version. Our Neck doesn't sound like Southerns neck. It's the same base song used, but they are different. Stop whinning.

You just did. You've called race into everything. Southern gets down and everyone likes it...presuambly because they are black. LSU just plays boring white music and doesn't dance on the field.
Maybe LSU students have a great time at games also because their team actually wins real championships...? Not something voted on exclusively for black colleges...who would rather not go into a FCS playoff?
And yes...I can say some of those dancers are ugly. It's in the faces my friend.

An Okie with a tin year. Comments by SU band member was LSU band's version "sounds good as hell, tho." Nuff said, Okie, prepare for your beatdown by another SEC team tomorrow!

I will have to agree with this guy. All bands do play the same songs with their own little twist.
I think Southern was the first school that we know to play neck. I think it was arranged in 1998. The first time I heard it was a game Southern played in the Georgia Dome.
I think all bands play their own versions to the same songs in my opinion.
I did see LSU play "Cupid Shuffle" this past season and thought it was funny only because Southern is the only school i've seen play that selection to this day.
