Yep... Maybe even a 6-2 because no one throws that much at that age

5-3-3 and make sure to hit the center hard every play. By the 2nd half you'll have multiple bad snaps if your nose is doing his job.

6-2 is a complete gap dominant defense and Is hard as hell to run on.

And yo get the same effect on the center snap exchange blowing both A gaps. He will have a hard time making his snap and stopping penetration on the gap.

Especially if you use smaller quiker inside dt

The problem with a 46 is peewee league football is it can be confusing for defense to line up properly on defferent formations, and can really give the defense fits with two tight sets because the defense then has to make a strength call based on some other key, and then adjust alignment prior to the snap.

Hard for a 10 year old to figure out on the fly

that seems like a shitty tactic for a peewee league team when kids need to be learning the fundamentals of the game. Kind of like 4th grade basketball teams that press constantly. They don't actually learn how to play defense if all they do is blitz every time. Just my opinion, but I think more teaching should be done at the lower levels instead of only trying to win by pressuring you're opponent.

I'd run the Tampa 2 and crack some heads.

i have never heard of a peewee league that allows that kind of defense. usually it is a 5 man front with only DL and LBs able to cross the LOS after the ball is snapped and handed off. If the QB is passing then no one can blitz and only the DL can cross the LOS

that makes a lot more sense, and allows for a lot more teaching and development. (although, I'm sure the teaching isn't always of the highest caliber)

Project I agree...

I was watching them play Saturday morning thinking the exact same thing. Not teaching the kids anything

we have a developmental game before our regular 8th grade game at the junior high I coach at. Made up of 6th and 7th graders who don't play much or at all in the regular game.

We don't allow our lb's to blitz, and I get so aggravated when the other teams blitz us. Call your play and let your kids play football. Don't try to put so much pressure on my 11 year old qb and offensive line that they can barely get a handoff
