Tom Landry was the man!

And why do basketball coaches wear them, and baseball coaches don't.

NFL contract with Reebok won't let them, when Nolan was the head coach of the 49ers he had to fight with the NFL to let him wear a suit on the sideline

The NFL has clothing contracts with various companies -- none of whom make suits.

Some coach -- Del Rio? -- had to go through hoops just to wear a very casual "suit".

I think baseball managers wearing unis has to be the most ridiculous thing in sports...

Could you imagine Joe Pa sporting shoulder pads with his helmet tucked under his arm while roaming the sidelines...

Or pat riley with his slicked back hair and some old school nut cutter shorts and high tops

why the flip would a baseball coach where a uni complete with leggins?

it goes back to the days when the "player/manager" was common.

I think the last player/manager in MLB was Pete Rose in the 80's.
