The most successful long term businesses function as a team. The family stuff is often said but very rarely is it true. It is mostly bullshite but does go on some places but is extremely rare.

My boss is closer with me than my dad. We travel for work together and have a better more healthy relationship than I do with my own father.
I love my dad, he’s just a roughneck from Odessa and doesn’t really communicate or foster much emotion from me.

New mgmt at my company and during the meet and greet hour long meeting last week they said this, No we’re not my family won’t fire me if I mess up so stop this shite already, and the emails again today about racism, just stop already.
