not going to engage in the typical petty OT pissing contest, I'm estimating his size, he is physically as big as my German Shepherd, I would ask him how much he weighs but I'm not fluent in bobcat, he is a huge cat

I wanted to but there was a PETA sit in going on and didn't think it would go over too well with them

Not that you didn't see one there, that's just not North AL
I know, that's where we used to hunt right outside of Aliceville. My dad and I will swear we saw one until we die, 100% sober too.

Bobcats are notorious white-supremacists & Trump supporters. May be able to rally the anti-science crowd with that claim.

Westervelt Lodge? If so, we may have crossed paths over the years.

Everyone knows somebody who has seen a mountain lion in the region...but nobody ever has any evidence.

According to wiki:
The largest bobcat accurately measured on record weighed 22.2 kg (49 lb), although unverified reports have them reaching 27 kg (60 lb). Furthermore, a June 20, 2012, report of a New Hampshire roadkill specimen listed the animal's weight at 27 kg (60 lb). The largest-bodied bobcats were recorded in eastern Canada and northern New England, and the smallest in the southern Appalachian Mountains. Consistent with Bergmann's rule, the bobcat is larger in its northern range and in open habitats.

I don't get why that would be such an usual sighting in that part of the country?

I'm originally from Eutaw, and last weekend my grandmother was talking about seeing one near Sawyerville in Hale County with my aunt years ago

We have as many mountain lions around here as Bigfoot’s,Rou Ga Rous and Loup Garou’s. None.
