Yea, and the guy that you think was coordinating the offense was sent into forced retirement.

reading comprehension is not your friend
re-read rickys post

RUN FIRST QB

cam, tebow, young, marshall, etc running a lot and being effective does NOT = RUN FIRST. yes, tebow and cam were great at power reads in their power spread offenses. tebow was great at QB powers when called. still was not a run first guy. both threw it around the field. the stats were posted earlier. or just go back and watch the games.

frazier was in a run first system.

Then JD isn't

He threw for like 2500 yards

He’s inconsistent but to flat out say he is inferior is dead wrong. We beat Bama, Ole Miss, and Florida due to very good QB play from him. Idk if he’ll get better but we’ve seen enough flashes to know the talent is there

Exactly this…which is why all this hate is confusing.

We’ve seen him do it so we know he can. With a full offseason perhaps he becomes more consistent and you get the “good JD” every game.

Nobody is saying he’s Burrow, but perhaps the type of jump from season to season can be similar. Consistency.

I pray the LSU faithful get their classic white drop back QB they’ve been dying for since Burrow.. please let this happen for them.

Another example of a QB improving is Jalen Hurts. It’s possible for people to continue improving no matter how many starts they have. Who would have thought someone like Hurts could a candidate for NFL MVP.

The key is finding an offensive approach that works for HIS strengths. Philadelphia is not asking him to play in a similar offensive approach as Tom Brady, Aaron Rogers, or even Patrick Mahommes. They have adapted more of what Baltimore does with Lamar Jackson. They will run some RPO's with Hurts. They'll run the ball with him (second to only Justin Fields in rushing attempts). They'll set up some quick throws and good formations to create mismatches. He's not being asked to constantly sit in the pocket and read through long developing routes.

It is clear Daniels is not 100% effective in LSU's current offensive approach. When is the last time LSU ran an RPO where Daniels threw a quick slant behind it?
When is the last time LSU bunched WRs tight to the LOS (a formation that was incredibly effective in 2019)? When is the last time LSU completed a TD pass (or even just a long pass) to a wide open receiver because the defense blew a coverage because they were confused by the pre-snap formation? The response is either to find an approach that suits him better or find a new QB. It's ridiculous to continue to "hope" he simply gets better in this offense after 12 games

We aren't talking about titles here. This is about 2022 and 2023.

So our goal in 2023 shouldn't be winning the sec title and national title?

No scheme survives a qb refusing to throw open wrs and throw 50/50 balls. No scheme survives a qb that refuses to test a defense deep. No scheme survives a qb that refuses to keep his eyes downfield when his pocket gets muddy.
There is a reason we are 106th in passing yards per completion and its not schematic.

You cant run bunch formations with a qb that doesn't see the open wrs well and doesn't trust his eyes.
Daniels has problems finding open wrs when everyone is spread out.
Hell we had to put KB in the slot just for JD to see him.

Burrow, the classic white drop back QB (am I doing this right?), can make fans dream can't he. He also seemed to make every other player on offense better.
