Yes. Normal weight according to BMI is 128-173 if you are 5’10”.

CPAP will change your life. You will know what it’s like to feel normal during the day again when your body gets the rest and oxygen it needs.

What does the cpap machine do exactly? Is it loud? I imagine it can't be all too comfortable to sleep with the mask on?

keeps your airway open to breath normally while you sleep..using cpap/apap, the results are instant. You can be exhaustively tired all day, everyday for 10 straight years, find that you take naps too much to compensate and in a nights time of actual sleep using a apap/cpap technology, you will feel the difference right away.

The results have been amazing.

I stopped breathing 88 times per hour according my doctor and since the cpap is put on I sleep like a rock.

I have energy now, I don’t feel the need for naps, I don’t have to drink tons of coffee anymore. It’s incredible!

It works for some people, I couldn’t sleep well with it on. Tried the full mask and then just the nasal mask and couldn’t sleep at all. Too uncomfortable and it had a 4 hour minimum for insurance to pay for it.

I’d wake up and check the time and I’d only had it on for 3 hours and 55 minutes so I’d wear it for five more minutes and then take it off. Got tired of doing that and gave it up. Plus cleaning it is a pain in the arse. Better to just lose weight or quit smoking.

If they didn’t have a problem why would they be doing a sleep study. It changed my quality of life. Before I started sleeping with a cpap I would sometimes fall asleep on my way to work. Not anymore

Glad it’s working for you OP.

Funny, I went to Spring Training a few weeks ago with a buddy of mine. Suddenly, I was the guy who wanted to go from one game to the next, not needed breaks or time to chill.
