I don't have a problem with it. It's their country. They're expecting a mass of foreigners as their guests. They see that a bunch of drunken foreigners could be an issue.
The world agreed to let Qatar host this thing, knowing exactly who and what Qatar is. They're supposed to just totally relax their ideological and fundamental principles for a brief time just to accommodate other people whose views do not align?
That's exactly how the USA ended up the shite show that we currently are. Let Qatar do what they do. If they're not bombing us or harming us, stay the hell out of their business. Don't like their rules, knowing their traditions and history? Should've chosen a different venue.
