I remember when he said this, and how much sense it made. Yes it's federal land, that's why they get paid to manage it, but they misappropriate that money and blow off proper management, hence the rampant wild fires. The truth just makes sense and defends itself.

Either we take care of them with controlled burns and grubbing, or nature will do nature. It’s not like it’s a mystery that we can’t figure out, those forests have been burning, and growing, and burning, and growing for thousands of years.
