I'm pretty sure you can only have a week 0 game if your week 0 opponent plays at Hawaii that year. That is how FSU got to schedule Duquesne in that spot.

There is an overemphasis on stopping violent hits. Even hearing explanations as to what the defender was trying to do within the rules, there are techniques which would not have drawn a flag.

I disagree. They cleaned up protection issues on field goals. They still have problem with kick off, but that was better against the Lobos. BK event mentioned there are still issues with Ramos putting in the correct location, he is hooking it. They are improved, just the defense and offense have improved the most from week one.
