Defense is so much better. Keeps the opposition on their heels.

0Last year the defense just ran the same play over and over. After a couple possessions, the offense knew what was coming.
Under Matt House this year, the opposing offenses have no idea what's coming. In addition, his situational play calling has been very successful.
I haven't been this excited to watch our defense since 2011.

Ed O's inner Les Miles came out his last 2 years when it came to the defense. He was stuck with the 1980's and early 1990's Miami, FL defenses kind of like Les was stuck in his 1970's Michigan style offenses.

Anyone that can not understand that Kelly has installed a new process and has the kids believing and playing with confidence is either a troll, dumb, or too stubborn to admit that we are seeing continual improvement. I think this team has the ability to upset a few.
Brian Kelly is really good and now we are seeing the results while we improve and Notre Dame definitely to a step back. The media wants everyone to be in love with Marcus Freeman but he hasn’t given them any reason as of yet.
Imagine if they play in a bowl.
