If he were still a coach today I'm sure he'd find a way to tie a game to preserve the 8-8
I still remember when the Rams fired him it was this big arse deal when it went down, like why? Mediocre at best coach got fired in pursuit of something better, yet media was acting like Bill Parcells or something was getting fired

Ditka won a Super Bowl as a player and Coach
Gregg went to a SB as a coach won as a player
Kubiak won a Super Bowl as a coach and player
Flores won as coach and as a player
I am not sure there is more than that off the top of my head
I think Ditka, Kubiak, and Flores also won SB as assistants as well.

Also did he ever get any questions about Gregg Williams and bounties? It was portrayed as the most shocking thing ever, and the guy that employed him most of his career seemed totally unmentioned
