Paradise Square, a woke musical about 1860's racial conflict, closes after a three month run. Lawsuits aplenty are ongoing....

How can this be? This production was nominated for ten Tony Awards. TEN!

Lol honestly that’s pretty crazy. They had a giant feature at the Tony’s. Whoops.

The show, about racial conflict in 1860s New York, garnered 10 Tony nominations, and Joaquina Kalukango won the award for best leading actress. But it failed to take hold with audiences, and will close on Sunday after a three-month run.

The perfect example of how the elite (critics in this case) are so out of touch with what everyday people enjoy.

It’s the racist white man’s fault for refusing to buy tickets

At the premiere:

“Hey Everyone! Come let us tell you how horrible you are! Through an expensive production you have to pay to see!!”

Weeks later:

“WTF happened?!?!? We were told we were so great!?”

They were too busy attending WNBA games, I guess.

yet they still don't understand why people are choosing not to consume their woke shows and movies. They couldn't possibly be the problem, no it's everyone else.

The concerning part about all of this is that these leftists continue to produce content that they know deep down will fail and lose money, but they aren't worried about that. They have no fear about producing a failure of a product that will lose them large, large sums of money. Why is that?

Some people are just hellbent on being miserable, i.e., trying to rear the ugly head of racism that was 160 years ago that is no longer happening to the extent of being called racism any longer.

May they drown in their tears.

I thought Broadway had a hometown crowd too, snooty rich Manhannites who support this. I haven't been to NY in a long time. Is Broadway entirely dependent on tourists?

Yes. These productions have to run for a long time to make financial sense. For that to happen, you have to rely on a new crop of tourists coming in every week. The locals certainly go to shows, but not in enough numbers to support it.

Just like theme parks can't make it on the locals.

I don't understand why these people constantly focus on and come up with entertainment based on how awful the past was to the point of celebration. It's fricking bizarre.

Demonizing our history helps them tear down the culture and rebuilt it in their own Marxist image.

It’s the faults of all of those racist, transphobic, bigoted piece of shite white make patriarchs. They didn’t buy tickets because they’re racist.
