And you should quit acting like Holstein is 100% shaking in his boots due to Howard when he’s going to Bama to sit behind players with the same potential as Howard. I’m sure he looked up highlights of these other QBs. The point is, he’s not shying away from competition, so we can’t say for certain he’s running away from Howard. It’s not a fact. It’s an opinion that you’re pushing as fact.

Agree with this 100%. You can add to it that the parrots on this board refuse to realize that Holstein made the best and smartest decision of his life when he left STM and got playing time at another school and hence developed himself into an elite 11 QB. If he had stayed at STM he would likely be an untested potential QB with 1 yr to play and make a name for himself. When opportunity knocks you better take it. That decision to leave STM inthe long run could potentially be worth millions to him if he should go on to succed at a mJor program and into the NFL...

Let me ask you a question. Would you commit to play for LSU if you knew that the earliest you could possibly start would be in your fifth redshirt senior season with only that one season to play? Hell no, you wouldn't.

Crown you need to use your magic powers and delete this dude from the recruiting board.

We have to read this same diatribe every thread.

Yep, Holstein's decision in high school could be worth millions in the future.

His decision to go to Bama could also make him millions or cost him millions. If he sits behind Milroe and then Ty Simpson, it's hard to imagine him waiting that long, Very few do these days.

No one has a clue what will happen. It's a roll of the dice.

I know people at his HS. Not going to say who because of privacy issues. He is a mediocre student. Many of his Fs are becoming Ds & Cs due to pressure on teachers (forcing them to take a semester worth of work at the last minute and grading it very generously).

BULL frickING shite. Stop slandering this kid with this shite.

I know more people at Woodlawn than probably anybody on TD and you're absolutely full of shite.

Purdue doesn't recruit guys with academic issues, I reckon.

Very common. I skipped six weeks straight of a class and got a C, to stay eligible. If you can play, they'll find your grades.

Most college programs offer academic waivers, I imagine Purdue does too.

Nah, I'm not guessing. He left STM, and smartly so, because he would have sat behind Howard.
Say what you want, I know both families well.
It's not a scared, or dislike thing. It's a respect thing and, after redshirting, Howard will be here another 3+ years where he is a legacy player and the #1 qb in America last year (pre injury)
Holstein is light years better than Arch

And he may not be the only QB in Bama's class this year.

Yea looks like LSU should try to get in on another QB. Collins sounds like he’s 110% on Purdue.

As crazy as that sounds to us down here in SEC Country. I can’t remember the last time Purdue was a Top 10-15 program or made a NY6 Bowl or better??

but this consistent BS that we only offered as TE is getting old.

LSU offered as a TE when it mattered. They only wanted him as a QB after well into his senior year after he had been committed to State for a while. It’s not like he grew up an LSU fan and he longed to play QB here.
