One thing is clear, if anyone figures out LSU coaching, it won’t be LSU’s fan base.

The only coach this Tiger fan base ever nailed accurately was Coach Mulkey which was a no brainer. LSU women’s basketball will be competing for a title every year, but LSU fans are clueless as to what other LSU coaches will be doing so within the next three years. It’s amazing how educated yet clueless we all are.

There was a sizable portion that nailed Orgeron for exactly what he was……..a terrible head football coach.

Johnson wasn’t far behind in his year 1 performance than Mulkey. The improvement was t from a lack of quality talent. Mulkey inherited a VERY experienced graduate all SEC Point Guard in Pointer. She has Faustine, Cherry, on that roster who all played significant roles and were starters. Newby and Morris were big adds and played a bunch but the core 3 in KP, Faustine and Cherry were the glue and on that roster. Her coaching took this less talented team to a level that wasn’t predicted. LSU finished int the Top 4 in the sec in baseball without a reliable remaining PITCHER which is the most important position on the field when it comes to controlling a game.

Ed would be a great #2. That why he's always a good interim.

Before the structure of a decent program crumbles, he's able to use it to beat the living shite out of people.

He has no clue how that structure is maintained or built, which was his downfall.

Look at the facts.

Johnson got LSU to a regional and was inches of going to a super despite the depleted pitching roster. (In his first season)

Let's not pretend the guy is awful. If you want to, that's on you.

We didn't have a deep bullpen but Johnson got the team this far.
