Looking for a 1 night stay for Garth Brooks concert next Saturday night. Everything looks sold out except Oyo in Port Allen. It doesn’t look like it gets good reviews.

These Oyo hotels were just in the news, a murder at the one in BR but the article references all 3 of them as being trouble it sounds like.

A woman was shot to death overnight at a Baton Rouge hotel and it turns out to be a hotspot for crime, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.

Law enforcement has been following these calls for the past two years. City officials provided WAFB with a report showing that police responded to more than 500 calls relating to crime, overdoses, or disturbances since the beginning of last year.

“At this point, we have been looking at all three OYO locations and we are going to continue to look at those locations to determine whether we have enough statutory violations to serve a letter on the manager,” added Moore.

The first thing I did when I heard the concert was coming was book hotel rooms. This event will rival the amount of people on campus for an SEC night game vs a top ten team except nobody is going to be leaving early.

At this point, I think your best bet is to book something, ANYTHING, so you have a fall back then hit the internet hard the day before and very early the morning of the concert to try and pick up a 24hour cancellation.
