Water Filtration system

I have a reverse osmosis system that sits under my sink. Been happy with it.

Has been a few years, so there could be better systems available.

It has a new faucet, but drilling isn't much of an issue. Volume is going to be one of your biggest issues unless you just go with a simple pass through filter.

Thanks, I had looked at that one hard I just wanted to try and find another option without installing a new faucet.
This will go in the kitchen on the main island so it doesn’t need to be an eye sore either.

Can I install that one on the existing faucet and not use the one that it comes with?

I haven’t personally, maybe I should. We are on the cities water system but live out in the county. They test it about once a year and send us the report but I don’t know much of what I’m looking at.

I do know, they hit a main line about once or twice a month doing construction and the water coming to us is filled with mud bc of that. Bath tub water looks like coffee!

The water also constantly has air in the lines and makes the water come out white (if there’s not mud in it) until it settles.

I have this one an like it. I change filters twice a year.

ETA, if you have the room for RO or a multi stage filter, consider a water chiller for a dedicated drinking faucet.


But if you just want plug and play, same sink but better tasting (maybe) water, a Waterdrop filter connects to the high flow line with relatively minimal (but certainly noticeable) pressure drop. They make larger filters for the same housing. I use a 17 (this is a 10)

Yes! A Berkey is awesome. We have both the black and fluoride filters installed, water is great and it’s easy to use.

Did you drill a hole in your countertop for a faucet? If so, what kind of countertop and how did it go?

Got whole home and under sink reverse osmosis.

It made the wife (no pics) happy, so win.

Honestly though, it has helped with hard water problems and the kids don't have to bathe in yellow water, which seemed to happen at random.

We were also able to cancel our Kentwood deliveries, so all in all, it wasn't that big of a financial change.
