Averages for these 3 guys during this 6 game stretch:

Reid
21 mpg
2/5 fg (40%)
5 ppg

Fudge
16 mpg
1/3 fg (33%)
3 ppg

Wilkinson
22 mpg
1/2 fg (50%)
2 ppg

These 3 guys are taking up a huge chunk of minutes each game and are almost non-existent on the offensive end. Wilkinson is not shooting bad he's just not shooting. He had 3 games with 0 made fg. 4 of the 6 games he only took 1 shot.

For Fudge he has an outlier game in Arkansas where he scored 13 on 5/6 fg. You remove that game and he has only made 2 fg's in the last 5 games - both in the win against A&M. He has 0 points in the games against Bama, Tenn, TCU, and Ole Miss. He's shooting 33% when one of the games he shot 83%.

Reid has diluted his fg% by choosing to shoot nearly 1/4 of his shots from 3 where he's only made 1 of them. Even still, removing the 3ball he is only 45% at the rim. We have to have better from the 5 spot.

Looking at all of the other games this season Fudge has shot 11 percentage points worse in these last 6 games. Reid 12. Wilkinson on the other hand is shooting 5 points better - he's just not shooting.

I don't know how you fix it, I'm not trying to play coach here, and I realize there is more to these guys' games than offense. But offense has been our issue and if we're going to get it going I think these are 3 guys you need to look for more production out of.

Fudge and Reid should play 10 minutes a game. combined.

Wilkinson is a complimentary player. He can't create his own shot, but he's money when open in the corner.

With Pinson hurt and less effective, Murray hurt and less effective, Eason down for part of that one game, Days being in and out of the lineup with injury, all of the attention those guys would draw gets spread out to everyone else and we become easier to defend. That means fewer shots for Wilkinson when we aren't crisply moving the ball on offense (and really, when are we).

Fudge and Reid are raw. Fudge has incredible athleticism but is still putting it together, so the better competition can stifle him a bit.

Reid needs to get stronger and is less experienced in general than his peers as he is a relative latecomer to basketball. Despite his struggles lately, he still has a ton of upside. But again, playing against stronger, more veteran big men has neutralized him or worse.

Reid and Fudge are young and raw. Hopefully they'll stick around another 2 years because I believe they will be pretty good by then. Fudge just seems like he's a couple years away from a 12-15 ppg avg as a damn good role player on a good team. Reid needs some muscle and I think it will help him greatly.

Wilkinson is what he is. A solid role player that will give you good defensive minutes. He's doesn't seem confident or comfortable enough to give you more offensively. We normally need guys like him for 10-13 minutes a game but this year is different since what would have been our top scorer is gonna miss the whole year and our top pg is banged up also.

As much as the rantards dog on him, Gaines is the 3rd guy we need with the ball behind days and Eason right now. Murray has looked completely out of it the last few times out and Gaines is starting to turn a corner. IMO the lack of minutes Gaines got down the stretch last night really hurt us

I agree, getting Gaines experience is going to help out so much for next year. If we can keep most of our guys and with the 2 5 stars coming in plus Miller back this team could be scary good next year.

How do guys that are still learning and putting it together get 5 star ratings. 5 stars should mean you are a complete player and ready to go. And we have the only 7 footer that has to get a running start to dunk.

Take your misunderstanding of the star rating system up with whichever service gave him that rating. That you choose that as the only piece of information on which to base your expectations of him is a you problem.

Gaines tries to do to much. Sometimes it works out, but often times it's 1 good play followed by 3 bad plays.

Reid, Fudge, Wilkinson, and I'll add Gaines just have to play. You take the bad, for what should be the good later on. I'd also add Justice to that group.
Now will the light kick on this year? Hopefully.

Well it seems that all everyone looks at are star ratings. How about recruiting men that can shoot and dribble a basketball and maybe finish a shot at the rim.

Justice is slowing turning the corner. He is getting use to this level of competition. He will be a good player for us sooner rather than later.

Streetball is not conducive to proper ball movement and distributing to the open man.

Wilkinson gets frozen out by the team. He shoots around 45% from 3 but no one passes him the ball. Wouldn't mind seeing him get 8 shots a game.

IDK how we don't run 5 three point shot sets for Mwani every game. He needs to be shooting up to 6 or 7 corner 3s a game. The way we drive, it is possible too. And he is incredibly efficient near the rim too. I just don't get it

Thank you for reminding me. That's another big issue I have this season. When we drive it's either going to the rim or we're dumping it down low behind the defenders. We seem to rarely kick it out.

Reid is the most disappointing of the bunch! For a supposed 5* player, he is a non-factor on the inside... plays too passively, defends poorly, can't score, and seems to have lead feet and no quickness! He needs plenty work to become a reliable player/factor in the future.

Too many empty possessions, Period. Turnover without even getting a ball on the glass or a horrible, wild shot with little to no chance of going in. We're a decent offensive rebounding team we HAVE to get a shot on the rim.

Murray aside for the 3 at the end was pathetic all game. He's feast or famine.

In fairness Gaines is trying to do too much b/c nobody else is doing a damn thing. I mean Eason is really good but he wants to dribble to much in the paint instead of just going up with the ball (Reid same thing he's a step and a half too slow for SEC ball). Days was the only one hitting last night.
