Former Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson has launched his new band Envy of None by sharing their debut single ‘Liar’ and revealing details of their self-titled debut album.
Alex Lifeson has been working on his new Envy of None project for the past year and the band also features Coney Hatch founder/bassist Andy Curran, accomplished producer and engineer Alfio Annibalini and singer-songwriter Maiah Wynne.
The 11-track album ‘Envy of None’ is released on Friday 8th April 2022 via Kscope, and sonically it’s an eclectic brew of alternative, experimental and synth rock.
The first taster for ‘Envy of None’ is lead single ‘Liar’. Far removed from Lifeson’s former band Rush, it draws parallels to Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle and even Cocteau Twins.

I wish he would join Steven Wilson in the Porcupine Tree comeback. They've already worked together.
