Looking to get a decent but still budget level entry drone. Never fooled with one so want something simple to fly and operate. Something under $250 range. Whatcha got?

DJI?
Holy Stone?
EXO?

This will be the kicker. I searched all around for a budget level drone for my kid for Christmas. Lots of really bad reviews on some of the cheaper ones. Either loss of signal and the drone literally just flew away, or battery life of 5-7 mins.

I ended up going with a DJI Mavic Mini (not the 2). It’s been awesome. Lots of quality features and reliability, each battery lasts about 20-30 mins, and it handles beginner use very well.

Looking at Amazon briefly, the combo kit is like $400, but the drone itself is only $250.

Before I got DJI mavic mini, I had a Hubsan H051S. Very good drone for the money.
