Since we’re all throwing darts at a wall at this point. How about this flight. Left BTR this evening, went to Ft. Meyers, now headed to Ames, IA. Maybe his agent is in Florida?

Man, Matt Campbell would be very disappointing.

LINK

ETA. Nothing to see. This appears to have been the basketball teams charter returning from Destin. With the Emerald Coast Classic trophy #extendthepear.

Plane then left BTR Sunday for other flights.

You know how dumb you sound on multiple levels when you say stuff like “Matt Campbell would be so disappointing”?

Disagree. Not the flashy name but he would do great at LSU

Well, he’s in year 6 and he is coaching a very mediocre football team in a very mediocre conference.

ETA. if I was hiring him to revive a program or build one from scratch, maybe he’s the guy. That’s not what this job is about.

Correct me if I’m wrong, didn’t Matt Rhule’s Panthers play in Miami today?

Campbell would be a good hire. Not the splash fanatics are looking for, but football people know he is a good coach that builds a winning culture.

Nick Sabans record at Michigan State was 34–24–1

Matt Campbell is 42-33 at Iowa State.

Iowa State is a worse job then Michigan State and always has been. I'm not saying Campbell is Saban, but what he has done at Iowa State is impressive and he deserves a look if LSU is still looking.

The top concern with Campbell is his qb didnt really develop this year as expected. Purdy backtracked this year.

And no perspective. Please tell me you're unemployed. Because it would be a waste for anyone to pay someone this dumb.

He didn’t last year, my guess is he has somebody at least reviewing contracts for him.

I chuckle at those that apparently just look at Campbell's record at ISU.

Here's a comparison;
Les Miles won a NC at LSU
Les Miles got fired, and couldn't win, at Kansas.

Kansas=Iowa State

Kansas was a better program than Iowa state before Matt Campbell

Why would they fly to an airport 3 hours away from Miami? Could just as easily fly to Fort Lauderdale if they were trying to stay under the radar

What makes Campbell a great hire? All the analyst and pundits tell you he’s a good coach?

Yes, he’s done a nice job at ISU, made them competitive, but he’s plateaued.

I’m guessing it’s all backwards

Lincoln Riley to USC and Luke Fickell to LSU… just think both were smokescreens but for opposite schools.

You’re right Mangino made Kansas competitive, how did that ultimately work out…
