A win is obviously a fricking win which is everything. There have been a lot of ranked teams winning or losing close sloppy games against teams they should beat on paper. I’ve seen Auburn win a couple close ones against USF and loyola-Chicago. Throw it in the bag and get ready for tomorrow

tSeedlings probably needed a close call after all the arse they’ve been kicking

LSU has a lot of trouble winning meaningful non-conference games under Will Wade so this was a big win to get off the non-conference schneid.

They were just distracted by the hiring of Riley. Hard to blame them

Was ugly to watch. But we got that W.
At the end of the year when the NCAA Selection Committee is looking at our team, this won’t be the biggest win on our resume, but it won’t be a knock against us either. It will help us in the “Quad 1/2 wins” category.

does it have to be a true road game to give us a boost in the NET or just away from home?

Yea either way a good win. tomorrow will be another feather in our cap if the boys can pearsevere

I feel pretty comfortable calling this offensive output an anomaly. Probably the worst night in Wade’s tenure. I’d call that the exception, not the rule.

Plus we got the win. Not sure some past Wade teams gut this win out. I’m still excited for the season.

A poorly played game that came down to winning in the end. You have to get experience in these kind of games before the real season starts. Im sure Will Wade isnt happy with the performance but very happy with the grit the team showed coming in with the dub

They shot horribly. Horribly. And still won. On the road.
Take it all day

Was a good scare for this team. Thankful for it.

These things aren’t always pretty, but we found a way to win. Our game is full court zone press, turnovers that turn into transition offensive runs in spurts. I felt like they got us in a half court game too often. Their guard did a great job of penetrating and scoring, hats off.
We’ve lost games like this in the past, so good win to learn from and move forward. 6-0, pumped about this team!

First game away from home. Winning a struggle game isn’t something we have had great success at with previous teams. Let’s play another P5 school and see how that goes, but even the best teams have bad games. I’m cautiously optimistic at this point about this team.

1) Warm up every game with a dunk contest and then consistently come out shooting ice cold - what could possibly be wrong here...

2) Poor ball movement in the half court set. ISOs and step back threes aren't going to beat Kentucky

3) Coming back to win in OT showed character - but giving up a 5 point lead in the last minute is ridiculous.

4) Finally - fans can get off the Dale Brown/generation gap vendetta and start focusing on college ball 2021. Dale Brown was never worried about beating LSU teams of 2021. He was trying to beat the best teams of his day. Are we better than Gonzaga, Kentucky, Duke...? Not tonight. Maybe by March but a long way to go.

First game on the road against an okay team that matched up fairly well against us in terms of they did exactly what they needed to do to counteract what LSU is good at. This is the type of game you can build on because you learn the most about yourself, your strengths and weaknesses. Now, I’m curious how that OT affects us tomorrow. I’m hoping we’re well enough conditioned that it won’t hurt us too bad. Cautiously optimistic.
