I've never seen American optimism lower. Wasn't alive in the 70s but it's hard seeing it being much worse

The lets blame everything on the President narrative in this country, no matter who it is, has got to stop. The left blamed Bush or Trump for everything and now the right blames Biden for everything. The dude sucks but this lets go brandon shite doesnt help a thing.

if presidents want to keep expanding the power of the centralized federal government and rule via executive fiat, as they increasingly do; I think they are fair game for immense criticism when the country is in dire straits.

I get what you are saying but Biden has no plan to stop the gas price rising and instead has put us at the mercy of Opec when we were energy independent just a year ago. He deserves blame for the fuel price situation.
