Not necessarily singling out Cruz, but Republicans in general are great at giving impassioned speeches in hearings, but when the time comes to really fight they are MIA.
Honestly, if Trump were a senator you folks would hate him too, and call him a rino.
You cant please everyone all the time.

That dude is an embarrassment (Garland). He was the left's wet dream for a Supreme Court justice but he comes across as weak and ineffectual and a political hack.

Garland never has struck me as a bright person. He seems lost in the real world.

Brutal. He needs an hour to work him over. Garland would be in tears before he was half done

Get Garland some butthole cream. He just got fricked hard and dry.

When it comes down to it, any meaningful legislation proposed by Republicans is killed by the establishment (McConnell, Graham, Romney, etc) because if successful, it makes them expendable.

Cruz would make a good president.
Cruz would make a terrible president, as every legislator that was elected president has been. Even Kennedy wasn't that great.

Cruz publically castrated the slimy a hole.

There was a reason Obama wanted him on the Supreme Court, he isn’t worth a frick, typical Obama.

Cruz would be great on the Supreme Court.

When does Ted make his next trip to Cancun?
Right after Biden talks about Covid while Americans are stranded in Afghanistan.

It was a good line of questioning by Cruz but he missed a great opportunity at the end. When Garland was refusing to answer yes or no to the question, did he consult with an ethics advisor, Garland opened the door for a bigger catastrophe.
Garland said "If I thought there was a conflict of interest I would have. That is not how ethics works and it was a really dumb response by Garland. If we left it up to the individual with the conflict of interest to determine if he had a conflict of interest there would be no need for an ethics advisor much less ethics laws.
To pass ethics the foundation is whether anyone else could consider your actions to be a conflict of interest, not whether you thought it was OK. This also goes right to the reason why Garland should recuse himself from any policies that his family has an interest in.
Cruz missed it by focusing to hard on yes or no.

Haven't watched any live hearing stuff in at least two years. But, caught Cruz and Hawley crushing non-sequitur snake Garland live today, due to sitting out today's storm.
Quite enjoyable.
Quite enjoyable.
