Can we beat Florida twice?

First of all, I think Florida wins the East over Georgia. That assumption out of the way, I don't think LSU will be able to beat Florida twice in a season (and I think the same could probably be said for Florida in regards to LSU).
That said, and if you agree with me, it gets interesting when we go to Florida. Obviously all LSU fans including myself will be pulling for LSU to win. But I'll go ahead and tell you now that I'm not going to be devastated if we do drop that game at their place because I think it gives us an "intangible" for the SECCG against Florida, much like 2001 where we lost at Tenn in the regular season but beat them in the title game.
Of course the optimal thing to do would be to win both games against the Gators (like we did against Georgia in 2003), but I guess my point is I just don't see that happening either way (for Florida or LSU). The teams are too evenly matched.
This is more of an observation than an actual question because we obviously don't know for sure that it's gonna be Florida in the SECCG and we certainly have the ability to beat them twice.

Would you rather win @UF or against UF in the SECCG?

Don't forget UGA's "intangible" in 2003...oh wait...
If I had to pick one, obviously winning the SEC is the one to go. I wouldn't really mind having a loss, because odds are even a one loss SEC champ is a lock for the title game.

Do you really need to ask this question?

YES.

I'd rather both - call me greedy.

I would disagree with that, I think if LSU wins the first game, they'll win the second too. If LSU can go into the Swamp and come out with a victory on our QB's second road game, it would seem that winning in a neutral site with a season's worth of games wouldn't be that hard.

If we do not make the final 2 in the BCS rankings, a win in the SECCG places us back in the Sugar Bowl. A lost in the SECCG, along with USC playing for the BCS in Miami might put us in the Rose Bowl.
Can I select two wins against UF? Answer is probably NO, so I take a win in Gainesville and then take my chances from there for the rest of the year.

I agree. And like I said, even though I think Florida will win the East, it may very well end up being Georgia, so we just to need to win and let everything else take care of itself.

We won't get to play Florida until the SECCG so I'm going with that.

Unlikely almost to the point of impossible.

I like you're thinking and hope you're right.

I hope our players are more focused on Moo State--our QBs and corners have a lot of growing up to do before wins at UF and in the SECCG should be discussed. We need to make the most of Saturday's game and build toward UF. Is what your asking possible--yes. Should we be worried about it on Sep 24th--NO WAY!

Yes, in 2006 lost to Florida because of the focus lost in the Auburn loss. Confident team getting feat on ground. This time around focused. Will be expecting Tebows jump pass.

How dare you not have faith in LSU's players and coaching staff. FEAR THE HAT!!!! We take both, book it.
