Solid looking cap right there

Would have looked better with white mesh and the purple and gold split between the cap and bill but I'd wear that

WTF is Slippery Rock?

One of these things is not like the others

That LSU lettering looks so much better than the tired Millennial Geaux font shite. Bama and OU ain't chasing font trends.

You might've survived with the hat... but definitely not without a Big Wheel.

Go to a LSU game.. And you will see a few old men with a hat like that with their headphones on so they can listen to the game.

That's the hat I remember seeing Charlie Mac always wearing when I was a kid...
Bill Arnsparger also rocked it...

We didn't have hipsters in the 70's, but some folks did wear ironic clothing.

Totally agree. The Geaux font is not nearly bad like Toonces, but chasing the latest fonts looks like a lower tier university, community college, or trade school.

I have an original one of those sitting on the shelf in my LSU room :)

Man I wish it was again as we were about to embark on the gloriousness that was the entire 1980’s. Damn I miss that decade!

Slippery Rock State College, now Slippery Rock University.
Named after Slippery Rock, PA, a township about 50 miles north of Pittsburgh.
Slippery Rock University Website
They were rather well known in the 70s for some reason. I remember both my parents and TV announcers talking about them.
