Outside of Boutte, Ricks and Stingley, what players do we have that you can make a case for us turning the corner with?

The amount of highly regarded recruits that just flat haven’t panned out is staggering. You either are missing in your evaluations as a staff or you aren’t developing the guys you get. Either way, it ain’t good.

We have giant holes in some spots talent wise. Just because a player looks good with his shirt off and can run doesn’t mean they’re a talented football player.

I agree and think the talent currently playing is vastly overrated.
O-line, LB, and S position groups particularly.

We have a lot of talented players on the roster. I’m sorry if you can’t see that, people said the same shite about our baseball team and watch how those “mediocre” players look under good coaching this year. Poor leadership can make anyone look bad

Orgerons personnel choices are killing us. It doesn’t matter that we have all this talent if he’s gonna keep playing guys who don’t perform.

The 5 star recruits that have not planned out is ridiculous. I did like the way our front 4 with Ojulari, Smith, Roy, and Anthony we’re getting after it. With stingley and ricks on the outside if other guys can step up and we can get decent coaching on defense, the defense at least has a chance.

Well i`m going to tell you that LSU can`t be the only
top 5 recruiting program where the talent is overrated.

John Emery, Kardell Thomas, Arik Gilbert, Marcel Brooks are the only swing and misses I can think of

The issue is O doesn’t evenly recruit.
2017 we took 1 Cb and 3 safeties
2018 we took 1 DB (who transfered)
2019 we took 4 Cb (because we had so few at this point) and 0 safeties (we converted Ward this year)
2020 we took 2 CB 1 Saftey so no we have 1 safety since 2017.
2021 oh look we remembered we need safeties.

I think on OL we have very little or maybe even 0 useful talent.....everywhere else it looks like we have some talent that could help that either isn't being used or isn't being coached correctly.
