No. One was a pass play where Clark came from the opposite side of the ball as Charbonnet.
People here just reinforce their own bullshite, read and repeat.
Football is actually a very complex game in that there's so much happening on any single play. That's why detail-oriented guys like Saban have such an advantage over others. Guys like that have a much better grasp of what all is going on, specifically where to attack an opponent, etc.
Clark can be better in some areas, but you can tell he's in phenomenal shape, really good speed, and he's ready to have a big year.

No, he caught him from behind multiple times. He ran down that TE when Major Burns whiffed on the sideline too. Dulcich got in on the momentum of the tackle, but that was really good effort and speed by Clark to get to him.

I think he does have potential there. Getting off blocks would be my main question, but he's got a really good strength-speed combo for rushing.

He has no gap disciple. This is his biggest issue. He is constantly out of position
He can’t get off of a block
When he is in position and manages to get off a block , he doesn’t make a tackle with initial contact
When he is backside, he pursues at 3/4 speed
He gets zero depth on his drop into zone
The ONLY thing I saw improvement on is that he did communicate when passing off a man from his zone to Strong’s zone. Problem is Strong did not realize it and it ended up being a TD.

Clark easily runs a 4.6 - 40. GTFO with this shite
What proof do you have? Game film says otherwise
Eta:I do see an article where he supposedly runs a 4.5. Guess we'll see come pro day/combine.

I wonder if Woodward thinks he can move on from Eddie quickly.

ALL this its painful to watch. I wonder where chip kelly came up with this wonderful gameplan? Lb's are slow to react in pass coverage. Ding Ding! If the average fan sees it i wonder if a top offensive Coach will? Every team will be going to this for the rest of the season. It was there in last years film and it is in this years so far.

You ain't seen nothing, then. Bad linebackers from 89 to 94 and 98 -99...drop linebacker

He got suckered in twice. Both of them big plays. The touchdown pass to Dulcich...but that was flawless execution by UCLA....caught everyone flat footed. Harris and Burns were the guys responsible on that play. He got caught up on a big run by Charbonnet.

Physically he is a top notch athlete and LB. He just does not have the instincts for the position. He would make a great OLB where he can think less and play fast and physical.

Dude is constantly jogging sideways, never attacks. Doesn’t get off blocks. Quite unbelievable that there was zero improvement from last year.
- Clark and Baskerville don't want to tackle
- BJ and Anthony only want to pass rush, can't really do much in rush defense
- Harris, and any other Safety really aren't even showing up on the screen
- Strong looked lost
- Anything physical Stingley check out in January 2020.
These are easy to see.
Going to have to get some freshmen in there, they can't do any worse than the LB/Ss you got in there now.

Don’t forget Flott
He looked fine to me, there was only 3 receptions to Wide outs. He looks like he want to play to me.

Clark needs to study and not play football

Damone has no clue what to do, but is a physical specimen.
I'm not saying he wasn't lost a few times, but his biggest issue is he absolutely fricking sucks at getting off of blocks. I've never seen such a big, strong, fast athlete that is completely neutralized the second someone puts one hand on him.
I watched the replay just to watch him and it is mind blowing.

I know which one you are speaking of. There was a play in late third or in the fourth when he had a chance to tackle him on the sidelines and he pulled up and ran passed him out of bounds. All he had to do was push him out and he totally pulled up

I see 75 UV's but the dude made damn near 25% of the tackles against UCLA. Who the hell you gonna put in his place?
I aint voting for the guy for All SEC but damn dude.

It's amazing how well he played under a real DC and LB coach. It's coaching people.

I have been seeing this all day. Posters on here railing on the guy who had the biggest day on the defense and letting the others skate...

His natural position is in the weight room / in the stands watching the game. Cut his arse and let’s get the young guys a real look.
