I know this isn’t an lsu player now , but I’ve seen people start threads on him before and people shite on him constantly. I always thought it would be cool to see him kick the learning disabilities arse. I’d like to see him prove that accuracy can improve with improved footwork. That myth that it’s something you have or don’t have is bullshite

The sec update they do on a show I listen to from time to time , just said that tj Finley moved up a spot on the listed depth chart .

They also said that there are people saying he could take bos job.

No change in hell he takes it from
Nix

With that being said… I would love to play him this year

If he beat out bo that in itself would be a pretty big deal

Have you watched Nix play more than once ? Wouldn’t be surprised to see TJ take over by mid October.

I could definitely see Harsin taking a shot on him if Nix has been under performing.

Harsin is going to try anything he can to make that job his own. Also, he likely has never seen a fanbase as rabid as Auburn. He was at Texas as QB coach for a season, but he is under more pressure than he has been in his life.

Boise State fans are passionate, but they have nothing on even lower SEC fanbases.

The new coaching staff brought TJ in for a reason. They have no loyalty to Bo Nix. If he can’t get the job done, they won’t hesitate to put TJ in

Idk, bo nix don’t scare me at all . If tj is a good bit better than last year , I’d rather face bo.

If he hasn’t gotten better then it won’t matter cuz he won’t play so if you think of it that way , idk , it kinda changes things

Finley is a very talented young man who makes very poor decisions under pressure. If he can correct that, he'll be a very good QB. I would have preferred he didn't leave LSU, but he knew he wasn't starting here.

A month ago he was projected as #2. He hasn’t moved up. Official depth charts are like glory holes. They are fun to look at but you don’t actually use them.

It is something that you have or don’t have. No one is developing Tom Brady accuracy with footwork drills. Poor accuracy can be improved, but elite accuracy under pressure is absolutely a natural talent and no one is going to go from not being able to hit the broad side of a barn to dropping it into a Dixie cup from 50 yards away. Not realistic at all bud

It is bo nix’s job to lose
The guy is the incumbent and a big legacy player there

Not sure Finley will even see the field this season

I'm glad if that's their priority in deciding who to put on the field

Give what up, I said I think bo will start ,actually I know he will , that’s how confident I am. I just told y’all what I heard. IMO this is a thread worth making . It’s something a bit different. Im just happy for the kid unless he plays against us.

I don’t understand all the people downvoting positive news about a kid that held us together a bit. Those two freshman were thrown in the fire.

Y’all do realize that with our defense, and with that injury to Myles ,that if we would have got a typical ,shite freshman performance from tj and max, something similar to Brandon Harris against auburn, then we could have seriously went 2 -8 or even 1-9

I realize the obvious that max is and was better, but they both won 2 starts a piece and played pretty good in those 4 wins. Salute to both max and tj.

We gonna beat that arse though when we see him

It matters.

He’ll have to perform but it matters

His father is also a high school coach at a very relevant school
