south texas people are some of the nicest, hardest working people in the world, and despite the vote for Ds, more conservative than any of the blue cities in Texas.

McAllen has some of the highest concentration of wealth and fine latinas i've ever seen.

and it would not be a bad life to end up in Point Isabell at some point for retirement if bay/beach life was your thing.

it's hot as balls though.

all of this, I wonder if it would be worth going down there and buying up a bunch of strategically located land, if it's not already locked up

Starbase is the next Cape Canaveral. I’m looking forward to seeing the Starships rocket over Louisiana during night time launches. Most orbital insertion azimuths should pass us here.

San Antonio is extreme south TX?

Is SpaceX moving to Brownsville or Corpus?.

Edt: Nvm, I thought SpaceX was moving to San Antonio. Yeah, they are moving to Extreme North Mexico, not Extreme South Texas.

Its a poverty stricken area, but still faaaar less crime than the cities in Louisiana.

Weird how that works.

Everything south of San Antonio is my ppl. I'm not a fan of North Texas, at all.

really just the middle valley is poverty stricken around Pharr, Donna, Weslaco, and La Feria. There's plenty of wealth in Brownsville, Mission, Sharyland, and McAllen.

McAllen.

Poverty rate is 25%. Roughly the same as NO. Sure, there's some money there but most people are not wealthy at all. Your chances of being a violent crime victim are more than 10x greater in NO.

there's some times around Downtown McAllen at Salt, Republic of the Rio Grande, and El Divino where i've been absolutely shocked.

also surprising is the people that drop serious cash at those restaurants, and i do mean cash.
