I re-watched it just now - i was shocked at the number of times Stingley got beat, including that 'fluke' at the end...that was no fluke, Stingley got beat at the line and never caught up. I think number 24 learned a whole lot in that game!!

No disrespect (Jordy?). But I attended that game. Great win, but not an all-time great for me.
My first year at LSU was 1979. We played #1 USC. Incredible lead-up and game. I got to meet John Robinson before the big game... I still remember this game like it was yesterday. What a battle. Definitely one of my favorites.
The 1982 Bobby Bowden Florida State game was magical. Fog game with the field flooded with oranges.
Curley's big win in Tuscaloosa was special in 1993.
Kicking Steve Spurrier's top ranked 1997 team was awesome.
I was in the Dome when we upset Oklahoma in 2004 for the Nick Saban's Championship. I cried.
The Les Miles' 2011 Tuscaloosa game was incredible. Although, a long night for me.
But the 2019 Tuscaloosa' Bama game was the BEST.
These are my favorites. Yours may be completely different... So many big wins for our Tigers.

Amen, man. I wasn't around for the first couple you listed, so I'll take your word for it.
In the context of regular season games like the previous poster mentioned though, I still have to put '03 UGA up there among games I attended. Same with '07 Florida. I mean, those were national championship seasons as well.
By no means am I dismissing the '19 Bama game as being part of the debate, but it's just not my personal favorite.

To be fair. I missed that game. I was traveling in Asia.
Terrible timing for me. I regret not seeing the Tim Tebow game.
Old Tiger drinking whisky after a big win once told me, "you've got to go to all the games, to see the great ones."

When God himself reached down and poked that ball out of Tua's hands almost right into Thornton's hands, I knew that the game and the season was ours.
Seemed we got every bounce that year. Some other favorite moments from the game

The final score was too close for my comfort. Should have beaten the Gumps like a naughty dog...

Not the best , but 2011 Game Of the Century was the most intense game I ever witnessed.

My MVP - Burrow. Clyde was a close second.
I think it was the opposite for this game.

Is this the best game ever?

Many thought this team would be average... Not me.
What BS
who are this many and what is average? the 2018 teams went 10-3 most thought the 2019 team would be better, they started in the top 10 anything less than 10-2 regular season would have been a disappointment. I thought we'd go 11-1 lose at Bama and have an outside shot at the 4th playoff spot or be #5 and make the Sugar Bowl

Clyde was a close second.
180 yards and 4 Tds was 2nd to none

Correct….. but I will say this… it was a TOTAL team effort that day…. Bama was the best team we played that year and it’s not close…. But IMO the best game the Togers have had was FLA in 2007. That game had it all and a ending that was pretty much fairy tail… you just can’t write that stuff.

Not the best game ever, but the interception, personal foul on Bama, and TD pass to Clyde right before halftime makes me laugh out loud every time I rewatch it.
The last 2 minutes of the 1st half were the happiest I’ve been watching a football game in a very long time.

This is still my #1. As bad as the Bama streak was, Florida had beaten us 9 times in a row going into the ‘97 game. They had been to 6 straight SEC championships (winning 5) and were coming off of a national championship season in ‘96.
It’s one of my earliest memories of being at an LSU football game as well, so there’s some nostalgia for me.

As much as I like the 2019 LSU win vs Bama, 2003 win vs UGA brought something special back to LSU football for me.

Man I've rewatched this game so many times.
I watched the game at bar in Nola celebrating my friend's birthday. Top 5 best days of my life.

Such an awesome game to have attended in person. As an aside, the weather was perfect!
