I'm sorry miss, but we need you to get tubal ligation to work here.
I don’t think a lot of people have considered the ramifications of forced vaccination…..it opens up a lot of questions.

No social scoring is next. Our private and public sector are married at this point so they’ll have total control in a few decades without push back.

There will be a tsunami of lawsuits. It's coming.

"FORCED" vaccination?? Sounds like a good way for a lot of employers to get hurt... permanently.
Posted on 8/4/21 at 9:58 pm to Bass Tiger
I think it will be mandatory at all jobs by 2022. I believe the courts will back the employers. I would imagine religious exemption would still have to be honored.

I'm afraid you are not far off.
I'm very liberal, or at least I would have been considered very liberal in 2010, but liberals today terrify me.

Does it matter? Gov and corporations are colluding.
They've created the foundation for a fascist utopia.

wonder what happens to an employer who asks a candidate during employment screening if they were a practicing homosexual? Let’s say this employer has health insurance data that supports his position that gay men have more medical costs due to their homosexuality, would that be acceptable?
From the CDC …….
Just like all other men, gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men need to know how to protect their health throughout their life. For all men, heart disease and cancer are the leading causes of death. However, compared to other men, gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men are additionally affected by:
Higher rates of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs);
Tobacco and drug use;
Depression.
There are many reasons why gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men may have higher rates of HIV and STDs. Some of them are:
Prevalence of HIV among sexual partners of gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men is 40 times that of sexual partners of heterosexual men;
Receptive anal sex is 18 times more risky for HIV acquisition than receptive vaginal sex;
Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men on average have a greater number of lifetime sexual partners.
Well in that case you're a protected class because of your sexuality. So you may have legal grounds to protect yourself from your employer

Well most of today's liberals are too busy sky screaming about random injustices instead of finding ways to actually deal with them amicably. Both sides of extremist seem to have decided it's an all or nothing game.
We can't do anything about healthcare because we either have to have a government takeover or remove any protections for the individual to drive costs down.
We can barely even handle infrastructure investment and everyone agrees its something we need.
We would never dream of even discussing more rights for citizens and removing rights from businesses. ie not treating them as people with rights but establishing them as organizations that need rules to protect our individual rights as well as safeguard our economy from predatory business behaviors on the individual while driving competition as best we can.

This is great. I don’t expect my company to act until it is FDA approved, but will definetly be looking for the updated form when that happens

I think it is wrong to force people to take any medication ( especially experimental vaccination ). I have taken the vaccine but feel I have no right to preach vaccination or against it.
Also we are on a slippery slope. Today it is a experimental vaccine, tomorrow it is an experimental drug and the day after we have to surrender medical records and the right to privacy all but disappears.
So forced vaccinations are a really BAD idea and is un-democratic.
But...
Funny when right wing loons are using this slogan. I guess now you know how ladies feel about you sanctimonious, self styled moral policemen want to intrude into their bodies.

Right now so many places are down employees and can’t hire for shite, talking actual corporate jobs here, that firing someone over a jab would cause a company issues.
Posted on 8/5/21 at 5:55 am to Big4SALTbro
My employer is requiring vaccination or daily negative COVID-19 test. It’s unbelievable how far our country has fallen. People need to stand up to this shite. The only way it will change is an uprising and other companies saying come work for me I don’t require vaccination. This I actually an opportunity for small business to pluck some good employees from these large corporations. We’re at war folks make no mistake about it. Just a different kind right now. I’m all for supporting whoever feels they need the vaccine but to force that upon others is just plain wrong.

At will employment strikes again. Their workplace, their rules.
Posted on 8/5/21 at 6:31 am to NYNolaguy1
That’s correct however I’m held to a noncompete agreement. Being vaccinated was not a condition of my original employment agreement so I’m curious if this would provide a way out.

Well, lack of FDA approval was a huge point made thousands of times on this board for why people wouldn't take the vaccine.
Yet you still have instances where the vaccine is being mandated, in both right to work states AND union supporting states. Sadly, the courts have backed the employer in these scenarios.
As such, FDA approval is now a moot point..
quote:
I guess if the FDA approves a drug I’m suddenly supposed to trust the federal government now
Why would anyone with a discerning approach trust the government? The CDC, NIH, and state / local health care directors have been caught in lies (repeatedly). The ONLY THING that they have in common as of late is their unified mantra of...”get the vaccine or die.”
I’m not anti-vaccine, but let’s not pretend that those in charge haven’t repeatedly stepped on their own dicks. They truly have been their own worst enemy.
The question I have is once the mandate hits, and a sizable portion of the population says no, what then?
Supply chain disruptions?
Lockdowns?
Worse (riots leading to martial law?).
The ineptitude of the government has put our nation in a position that I’m not comfortable with. When Dr. Fauchi and Dr. Catherine O’Neal are basically now in charge at the federal and state level via CDC “recommendations” (aka mandates)...that’s worrisome.

didn’t even think about that. Unions should be at the forefront of this issue in trying to recruit all sorts of workers to join in order to fight any mandate. And this can also serve as a catalyst to get employers to stop issuing mandates.
So now this board is PRO unions?!? And also against private businesses having the freedom to operate how they see fit?!? And suing a company if there is a bad reaction to the vaccine?! Sounds like this board is pro-union, anti free market and wants the job makers to operate in a judicial hellhole.
Posted on 8/5/21 at 7:01 am to theronswanson
On the flip side, it’s clear corporations and government are colluding on policies, along with the courts. If corporations act this way, they are just as anti-free market as unions.

Most are just pro lashing out at anything in the news honestly. Been lots of good discussion in this thread though.
