I think that's a very optimistic and short sighted view of the situation we find ourselves in.

I think the founding fathers, the Constitution, and most of the country would disagree with you.

It goes a little deeper than that though.
The more and longer the governed say yes, the more power the government takes from them. The longer it goes on, the more likely the governed are to assume government has always had that power, it's right for it to have that power and that that power can never be taken away.
Remember, we've always been at war with Eastasia.

We the people have forgotten that our nation was founded on causing a ruckus to get out from under the thumb of tyranny.

Its not that we forgot, its that we are unwilling to sacrifice our own comfort in order to achieve that end.

I stand by my assertion that while I don't condone violence to achieve political goals (ditto for the destruction of property), the fear component that those in Congress say they felt on Jan. 6 was a very healthy and NECESSARY reminder of what American citizens can do when pushed to the limit.
Some would even say it's what we SHOULD do when faced with a government that actively seeks to limit our freedoms, and I don't know that I would disagree with that principle.

The "marxist gov't" knows this....this is why they are making examples of people from the 1/6 gathering. They will continue to $hit on the Constitution from here on out and dare Americans to stop them.

That is all political theater, they didn't fear shite on Jan. 6th.
Republicans on a baseball field felt real fear.

Because the media and politicians treat everyone that actually abides by this as some lunatic terrorist. The government pawns are the extremists.

We as a country work ourselves up getting angry at our elected officials and vow we need change . Then the election comes, and either people get duped by false messaging or the election gets out right stolen, and we politely take it.
Rinse,, wash, repeat.

The Govt's primary goal is to ensure its very existence. Secondary goal is to collect more power to protect the primary.

Those "Some Americans" want their fingers in your wallet. Government is their proxy.

I don't think they really felt fear. If Jan 6 truly scared them then we are truly f'd.
