i'm in a group where f&i and sales guys share stories and numbers of their buyers without mentioning their names.
this one struck me as interesting. it's real.
all kinds of wrong here. 84 months. 8 percent interest rate. and here is the best part. this is for a tahoe. a chevy tahoe.
stimulus money must still be stimulating.

what year?
If you can't buy it in cash, you can't afford it.

Not that much and not that long.

Depends on the interest rate.
0/0 at the rate in your pic.
0/0 at the rate in your pic.

That’s insane. Imagine paying for another vehicle with just the interest on your Tahoe….

That’s awesome
it is awesome and very sad at the same time. not surprising as many americans can't afford 400 to 1000 in cash for an emergency but are willing to finance their vehicles for longer than the warranty lasts and the new car smell is long gone.

Spread out that note so you can afford the jet ski, side by side and Jaxxton's Marucci

1200 a month? Get outta here.

That looks like a salesman's calculator that guys use at their desk.
Guve them a price. No backend products. Give them a term. Bump their rate by 4 or 5 points. Give them a payment.
Guy goes into finance office for that 1275 dollar payment. Finance guy drops interest back down to actual interest. Pads deal with back end. Payment below 1275 and btw mr customer you have warranty, tire warranty, battery warrranty, gap, theft, and undercutting.
All for UNDER 1275! Sign here.

4 years $300 a month. I also haven't financed a vehicle in 15 years. So I don't know how that shite works now

People actually pay that for a vehicle? WTF?

I won’t judge this person but I will say my house note is far south of their car note.

I think I’m in a 6 year right now at like 1.9% . I will legit finance anything at 0-2%.

77k for a Tahoe? Geez.

I'll just buy a 1986 Blazer that can get get a few years out of for $1,500

I've financed shite for 72 months, but I had a very good handle on the interest rate, prepayment penalty, and resale value of the vehicle. I've never been underwater on anything in my life.

The only issue I have is the interest rate, I would never finance if I couldn’t get less than around 2.5%. As far as the cost, if this person is making over $250k a year I see no problem with the purchase.

I’m comfortable financing 35k to 40k for 60 months. I also double the payment and pay them off in 3 years. With the current market I can trade in my 3 vehicles and have close to 115k down payment.
