I’m also not seeing a whole lot of boobs either.
Uh, cause women weren’t as fat and didn’t have boobs loaded with silicone.

As I view those advertisements and photographs my mind wanders to the thick and luxurious pubic hair that must have adorned each and every one of those ladies

First Victoria Secret catalogs were softcore porn. You were guaranteed a few nipples and patches of public hair in there.
Then...the airbrushing and pasties came.

Just think. Your genius tech wizard friend would have probably had us in flying cars by now if he wasn't using his talents to descramble porn.
Sure...but I'd have never seen "prime" Traci Lords.
Flying is overrated.

When I saw this thread I was looking forward to a cerebral discussion of the merits of classic catalog glamour photography, but I'm disappointed. The O-T is failing.
This is my cousin, her first bra print ad, by photographer James Vaughn, I believe for Marshall Fields department store which was later acquired by Macy's.

hat didn’t matter to 13 year old me that was paranoid about getting caught carrying the catalog out of the bathroom.
I used to place the magazines flat against me and tuck the bottom into my underwear.
My biggest problem was seemingly thinking time stood still while I was in there.

Real tits
Real bodies
No plastic surgery face
Pubic hair
Life was better in the 80s

Traci Lords.
Wasn't she the one who started porn at 15? Which caused a bit of dustup later on for the people who realized they owned child porn on VHS.

And occasionally to the topless exotic gals found in a National Geographic.

No wonder my imagination was so much better back then. You really had to work to crank one out. I miss those catalogs

As a teenager, if you had a sister, girl cousins or neighbors who had a subscription to Teen Magazine or Seventeen, you learned that each Spring there were swimwear issues. Some of the models later became quite famous. Recognize these two?
