Benefit of the child.

She goes to jail, kid goes to foster care.

Possession/creations in this case isn’t similar to other cases as the motivation wasn’t child exploitation but more system exploitation (revenge)

Also child crimes have high recidivism and recidivism is not really a concern in this case.

So it would cost the system and be more detrimental to the child and to punish her than to not punish her.
