Trans Man Unhappy with Maternity Care

So, apparently this person used to be ‘female but has now become a male. As a male, he then chooses to perform the most feminine role on earth—giving birth. I don’t understand this at all. If he truly wants to be male, why then choose to do something that only females do? If parenthood is the goal, why not adopt or use a female surrogate?
I’m really struggling to understand this mindset. I can understand that these people must be going through hell if they feel like their gender is not the one they are born with, and I can understand why an adult (not a child) might choose to take drastic measures to change genders. However, why would someone who yearns to be a man and takes steps toward that end then go and perform a female role like getting pregnant and giving birth?
I’m a natural female who is happily married to a natural male, and there is no way my husband would have ever wanted to be pregnant when we decided to have a child. This whole trans-man-giving-birth thing is incomprehensible to me. Granted, I am 48 years old, so maybe I am just too old to “get” it.
Also, this guy seems upset that people viewed him as a male rather than a pregnant woman. Isn’t that the goal of trans men—to appear as and effectively “pass” as male?

I can't understand it. I really hate the explanation that a woman feels like a man. No, they don't. They have no idea what it feels like to be a man. Just like I have no idea what it feels like to be a woman.
Also, maybe the reason this trans person felt the need to give birth is because she's a woman and that is a natural thing to feel.

Maybe I miscommunicated what I meant. I meant that, as a female, I can’t imagine what it might feel like to want to be a male. I imagine that it has to be quite emotionally tumultuous, though, for a person to not feel like what they actually are.
On the flip side, since this trans man decided to give birth, which is a natural thing for females to do, I wonder if he will later regret the decision to become a man.

There is a popular fetish among people that call themselves "trans men" that involves being dominated and treated "like a woman" by a real man.
It's confusing AF. If that's what you are into, why not just leave your body alone and get a boyfriend? Why make yourself look like a dude and thus eliminating your appeal to the sexual partners you are going after?
