Bingo. They are just cutting them off instead of admitting to decades of failed practice.
Things like Fentanyl would never be a problem if people had legal access to decent painkillers.

I watched it. I'm team Pharmaceutical. Freaking junkies and losers ruin everything
Lulz. Yes, it is junkies prolifically writing and filling the prescriptions, upping the doses.
The entire system is littered with fraudulent activity, from the manufacturers to the junkies.

...but the line for the methadone clinic is out the door almost every morning when I drive by.

You going to grow some balls and have an opinion of your own?

Smoking weed won’t help either. It does nothing to solve the problem. It just helps you accept the misery
It helps make the mundane more enjoyable. Those with debilitating pain or injury may not be able to go fishing or whatever they used to do for fun. So a little weed makes even a simple stroll outside more fun. At least it does for me. Not everyone has physical problems that can be "solved". Some just have to endure. So why not let them have something that helps.

Your pain will never be gone moron. You are supposed to feel pain. Unless you have a terminal illness like Cancer, Opioids should be used for a short period of time. Instead we get a bunch of pussies that get a knee or hip replacement and rather suck down pain pills than rehab properly

As I have stated in other threads before. The lowest point of my life was when I had to leave work that I loved only to be told that I could no longer be able to perform the task required. I had 2 years of short term disability and then had to go on full on SSI disability. The thought that I was no longer able to provide for my family in a way that I was raised to honorable tormented me day and night. It wasn't until I found the right doctors and even then it took 3 years of trying different meds that I could get a mix that made me somewhat functional again. Now I have started a small business to help fill the down time and start to mend my mind from the years of abuse I put myself through because I felt nothing but less than for having to go on disability.
So when someone says I'm unhappy or miserable has no idea what they speaking of and I hope they never have to find out what torment a man can do to himself because what he though was his life had been stripped away. I'm happier than I've ever been and feel like in some small way I can be a light of hope for others like me. Now if the CDC, FBI and DEA would get off our nuts and lets us go back to some sense of normalcy we could be way more productive with our time.

Why SSI? Were you really young or just hadn't been employed much in the previous 10 years?

After I got neutered. I got a bottle of about 15 pills. Them frickers would give me the best buzz with no hangover. I completely understand how people can get hooked. It wasn't happy when I ran out

“Pain is the 5th vital sign” and “pain is whatever the patient says it is” was the status quo in the 90’s. It has swung in the other direction now.
You changed the story mid-stream from your wife’s pain to you having to count pills and you taking a piss test. I’m assuming you are talking about the wife

I'd like to hear your whole story, if you don't mind.

read the statement, it was about both of us. the poorly qualified anesthesia guy running the drug rehab clinic, did not want to talk to the orthopedist about my pain issues in cutting out a knee joint in 4 weeks or my wife's assessment that she might have neurological issues with legs destroyed by polio 73 years ago.
reading comprehension is a valued skill

The common sense answer is this and the first part may be tricky but I'm sure you have young trustworthy family members to help. Establish a non hood heroin connection and then start using very small amounts intranasaly until you establish your minimum amount for relief. yes I'm serious. It's far less hassle if the first part can be taken care of properly. also you're gonna save money when you purchase larger quantities (nothing ridiculous) start with a simple 8 ball (3.5 grams) and use this to establish and extrapolate how much you believe you will need per month. Of course proceed with an abundance of caution but this is a far easier and more effective means than your above description. All drugs SHOULD be legal and details left as personal responsibility.

Hands down the worst advice I’ve ever seen on this site

I had neck surgery last month in Houston, cervical disk removal, and the best I got was Tylenol3. fricking bullshite. Like do y’all think I’m having elective surgery just for some meds?

False. Unorthodox maybe but far from the worst advice posted here. I've actually seen posters reccomend to others that they should "die in a fire" now that's poor advice
