Gosh, I hate to come across as the leftist here, bc that is not remotely who I am. But, the over-reaction is getting tedious.

Academia is all very left-wing. It is so much worse than the worst I've read, I do not know what to say.

But, I read two of Tate's articles. They are not remotely what so many are suggesting. He has argued that students in poor and/or predominately black neighborhoods have had academic difficulties. Often, we did not support them as perhaps we should have.

I cannot imagine anyone who would disagree with that. We did so much harm in the black community, what should we expect?

That said, Tate has argued we should increase math and science education in poor and predominately black neighborhoods. I agree. Don't you? How else can we expect people to get jobs?

Give the guy a break, at least for awhile. He yelled "geaux tigers!" I cannot imagine he will oppose the Tigers as a name. He was not my first choice, but I have no influence (well, a little but not much).

Leftists over-react and exaggerate all the time. Why follow that pattern??? I have a friend who teaches CRT. She is a good person. We do not agree politically; however, when my Mom died and later when my Wife died, she was the first person to offer help. Do not assume CRT people are bad. Do not assume they are crazy.

Tate never said, as far as I can find, that math is racist. He argued the support for math education was racially motivated. Hell, it was. I saw that 60 years ago when I was a kid. It was a disgrace. We are now reaping what our parents and grandparents sowed.

Please, give it a rest. Have a little faith. God is in his Heaven. All is Right with the World.

This is b.s. you are definitely a socialist. You are arguing for welfare disguised as special math programs lol. If a public high school sucks it’s because the teachers suck and the school needs to hire better teachers.

Shouldn’t he take that up with the democrats? They are the ones who want to keep these impoverished communities welfare dependent.
