"cancel culture" is a made-up term used as a scare tactic by the far right. It's not real.

I saw this thread earlier and went down a rabbit hole attempting to look up images online from the 1938 German version premiere of Disney’s “Snow White” (“Schneewittchen”).

Here’s the original poster.

Hitler reportedly loved the movie. He didn’t care for Mickey Mouse though.

I’ve seen images of the façades of German theaters from the premiere and associated crowd scenes before but the web seems to be scraped clean of them today….

Things that make one say “Hmmmm…”.

Current versions edited out the clip of him smelling his fingers before he kissed her. If you have that version it’s worth millions.

Spoiler... The Prince wakes up Sleeping Beauty by climbing on top of her and raping her.

In the original story, the king rapes her, impregnates her, and she gives birth to 2(?) children while asleep.

In the original Grimm's Fable, "Schneewittchen" (Little White Snow), she wakes up when one of the dwarves drops the coffin and the impact dislodges the apple from her throat. She ends up sentencing the evil queen to death by walking on hot coals until she dies.

The Grimm Fables didn't end with, "And they lived happily ever after." They ended with:

Und wenn sie nicht gestorben sind, leben sie noch heute.

Literally translated it means "and if they haven't died, they still live today"
