Quote from Wiki

quote:

Semenya is an intersex cisgender woman, assigned female at birth,[9] with XY chromosomes and naturally elevated testosterone levels.[10][11][12] Following her victory at the 2009 World Championships, it was announced that she had been subjected to sex testing.[5] She was withdrawn from international competition until 6 July 2010 when the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) cleared her to return.[13][14] In 2019, new IAAF rules came into force preventing women such as Semenya from participating in 400m, 800m, and 1500m events unless they take medication to lower their testosterone levels. On 25 February 2021, her lawyer announced that she would appeal to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).[15]

Semenya was named one of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2019.[16]

I think that Semenya should not be allowed, but since the IOC went full stupidity they have no real reason not to allow "her" to run.

Hubbard shouldn't be able to and neither should Semenya. Semenya is essentially a biologic male whose external genitals did not develop like a male and thus are the "default" female. There is no way that you should be able to have several decades of muscle mass build through high T levels and then be able to lower the T level and "compete"

Intersex is different from transgender, especially in this case where weightlifter dude set records as a dude.

Nature doesn't recognized categories when it comes to sex, it's a continuum, which is where Semenya falls. So Semenya competing with women is a legitimate discussion.

The weightlifter on the other hand should be SOL when it comes to competing against women. Even with hormone therapy he's going to have an absurd advantage.

How do you even begin to set the rules towards medication blocking testosterone and other advantages? Not all people going from male to female are the same biologically/athletically. If you set a threshold, then some people have to take higher doses. Is that more fair than having them all take the same medicines and dosages? There are also non-trans women who have biologically masculine characteristics that give them advantages over other women but obviously thats just considered part of sports. There is literally no way to do this cleanly and the trans movement in sports, much like the trans movement in general, is adding problems to solutions.

It's this simple:

If you have a penis, you compete with the males.
If you have a vagina, you compete with the females.

what if the penis has been removed? or didn't develop and thus isn't a penis? if you go strictly by your criteria, the transgenders are going to win.

I'm almost rooting for women's sports to be dominated by trannys. I feel bad for girls/women that are against this, but the feminists/woke types that support this can frick off

Since we are being literal, fine.

If you are a biological male organism, you compete with the male athletes.
If you are a biological female organism, you compete with the females athletes.
I don't know the answer for the very few high level, intersex athletes but Im pretty sure we can use common sense and logic to figure out who they should be able to compete against.

Fixed it for you. No amount of surgery, makeup, or hormones can change male to female or female to male. Born a male means always a male. Born a female means always a female.
