Did they start coming under Clinton or GW Bush?
I'm thinking Bush but it may have been Clinton that opened the gates and Bush cared not to close.

I believe they peaked during the Bush years around 2007

When we started giving them welfare, food stamps, free education, child care, tax credits, etc. as soon as they put one foot over the f*cking border.

As much as I loved Reagan, this was a huge mistake on his part with very predictable results.

I agree, his mistake was trusting the Dems and Deep State were going to give him the border security he thought he had traded for...

Most people forget that Lyndon Johnson had 4, not 3, monumentally destructive policy “wins” as president:
1. Great Society (cradle to grave entitlements)
2. Civil Rights Act (fighting discrimination based on race not by outlawing discrimination but by mandating it)
3. Escalation in Vietnam
4. Ted Kennedy’s Immigration reform
Post 60’s immigration reform and Great Society, migrant workers from Latin America replaced poor whites and African Americans as the primary source for manual farm labor. Hispanic populations have steadily increased ever since. Those immigration reforms essentially turned opened America up to the third world and closed our borders to European immigrants.

The dollar has been in decline since the 60s.

The dollar has been in decline since the creation of the federal reserve by Woodrow Wilson. It accelerated in the late 60’s due to Richard Nixon taking America off the gold standard.

I remember experiencing it as long back as 1984 or 1985

Reagan got snookered on that one. He was promised a secured border if he granted amnesty..........Never trust a snake, it’s a snake

In order to be illegal you have to be breaking a law. The Injuns didn't have any laws. They hadn't even discovered pens and paper.
