They quit. They did not opt out. They quit.

They did quit, but I wish them the best.

2020 sucked for almost everyone.

Call it whatever you want.

Good business decisions in the end. Everything this board has said about their draft stock has been dead wrong. Your whiny post is reflecting that

Devonta Smith knew he was playing for a Nat'l championship.
Marshall knew he was playing on a team that couldn't compete .

National Champion*
Future Millionaire*

His teammates and coaches 100% accepted his decision and understood it.

As people, we all have made decisions to leave our current job in pursuit of another more fruitful one. These decisions are made by us to increase our income by 10-15% and our co-workers, family, friends all understand them and never label us "quitters".

But Marshall chooses to make a business decision to solidify going from $0 to Millions and grown men cry about it because they don't get to see him play for a football team they root for.

If anyone has a right to be upset and judge him for this decision, it's his teammates and coaches - who haven't. So why should you?

Losers - every single one of you who do this are losers. It's that simple. Work on your own life so you don't feel the need to harbor ill will towards a man doing what is best for him and his family.

You'll say "BUT HE STILL COULDVE MADE MILLIONS!!". Probably. But it's also possible he could suffer a career ending injury. You may say the risk of that is severely low. But it still exists. And put yourself in his shoes. Millions of dollars guaranteed or a risk, however small, that youll never make any significant amount of money. Easy to say on a message board that you would take that risk, but if it were a real possibility I doubt you would.

Not the very definition of a team player, but he is free to choose what he wishes to do and people are free to label him a quitter if they so choose...

I’m a college football fan. I will never accept what they did. I have spoken.

Chase had nothing else to prove. He made the right decision.

Marshall made the right decision as well.

You can't blame these players for not risking guaranteed millions.

If you want to watch players that are required to play then watch the pros.

After watching LSU go woke recently I can totally see the players perspective. I wouldn’t risk my career for a school. I know I’ll get downvoted but I don’t bleed purple and gold anymore and I don’t blame any of these players for not bleeding purple and gold either.

It’s the same thing at every school with exceptions like Bama where the players stay for Saban because they respect him so much. They don’t care about the school.
